It was picked up in Brown Street and has been buried in a nearby garden.
The animal is distinctive due to its albino complexion and its owner may already have been found.
Michelle Clubb wrote: “This looks a lot like mine, she escaped about six months ago from Kinloch Street near the Panmure Centre.”
A Police Scotland spokesman said no missing snakes had been reported in the area recently.
A representative for the Scottish SPCA said local authorities can be contacted to remove carcasses of domestic animals in the street but people can ring the charity’s helpline on 03000 999 999 if they are unsure of an animal’s origin.
