Support for family of critically-ill Angus girl Cally
ByThe Courier Reporter
Fundraising events are being held to support the family of an Angus girl found unconscious during a family holiday in Spain.
Arbroath girl Cally Simpson was found last week at the bottom of a swimming pool in the holiday resort of Salou, where she was with her father Steven and his mother.
After attempts to resuscitate her, Cally was rushed to a specialist children’s hospital in Barcelona. She will be kept in a coma for at least two weeks because of fears over brain damage.
Now a 24-hour online auction, which will start at 10am on Monday, is being held to raise enough money to ensure the family can stay in Spain and remain by her bedside.
