DUNNOTTAR Primary School pupil Arran Bunyan has succeeded against more than 1,000 entrants to have his drawing featured in the European Parliament calendar.
The primary seven pupil was picked as one of 12 winners and has his drawing featured in May.
The European Parliament 2013 Calendar Competition had entries from 1,100 pupils from 54 different schools across Scotland.
After two meetings in October, a committee made up of staff at the European Parliament office in Edinburgh whittled the entries down to a shortlist of just over 30 pictures.
Then during the European Parliament plenary session in October a judging panel voted on their favourite pictures to produce a winner for the EU-wide calendar and a selection for their Scottish calendar.
