Forfar, Kirriemuir and Newbigging have been announced as the next areas to be connected to high-speed fibre broadband.
The Angus locations will benefit from faster broadband speeds as the technology is rolled out by BT engineers this autumn.
Around 56,000 homes in 14 local authority areas are benefiting from the £410 million Digital Scotland scheme.
Angus Council’s development and enterprise convener Mairi Evans said: “This is welcome news. Digital connectivity is a priority for Angus, as it is vital for the current and future prosperity of our companies and communities.”
Brendan Dick, BT Scotland director, said: “This technological change will help communities to compete and thrive in the 21st Century.
“New locations for fibre will be announced regularly as our engineers carry out detailed local surveys and finalise plans.”
