Two detained in connection with stabbing in Forfar

Two people have been detained by police after a man was rushed to hospital following an incident in Forfar on Thursday night.
A 24-year-old male was taken to Ninewells in Dundee with injuries to his arm and head following a disturbance at Glenmoy Terrace just before 10pm.
The man’s injuries are not life threatening and a 28-year-old male and a 23-year-old female have been detained in connection with the incident and are currently “assisting police” with on-going enquiries.
A spokesman for the police said: “Police Scotland’s investigation continues in the area today and officers, aware that there were several people in Glenmoy Terrace at the time of the incident, would appeal for anyone who was there to come forward.
“Furthermore, anyone with information that could assist enquiries should call Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.”
