Homeowner suffers burns after chip pan fire in Arbroath

An Angus homeowner was left with minor burns after their chip pan caught fire in the kitchen of their Arbroath home.

Fire crews were called to a property in Chalmer’s Street at around 4.30pm on Wednesday following a report of a fire in a deep fat fryer.

The blaze was extinguished by crews using one CO2 extinguisher and two breathing apparatus.
