Alison Wiseman said a car pulled up and the driver helped himself to valuable top stones. Her husband set off in pursuit and caught up when the driver stopped to do the same to another farm. She said: “He confronted him and said: “You’ve got my stones!” “The man was very apologetic. “We didn’t want to call the police we’d rather they pursued more serious crimes. “They were called though, and the stones were returned, but it was a bizarre incident.” Police confirmed a 68-year-old man had been given a caution.
