Police in Angus have traced the “bare-chested” man who attempted to get into a Carnoustie woman’s car and decided no crime took place. Julie Thom said told Facebook group Our Carnoustie the man tried to get into her car when it was parked at Carnoustie Leisure Centre on April 26. She said the man had been wearing a hooded top over his bare chest. However, Police Scotland has since traced the man and decided no crime occurred. Chief Inspector Gordon Milne said: “We would like to thank all the members of the local community in Carnoustie who helped with our enquiries. “For the lady involved on Sunday, this was an upsetting situation she found herself in and, on the face of it, quite a serious incident. “However, we have been able to trace the person involved and sorted it out to everyone’s satisfaction”.
