A man is due to appear in court early next week following an alleged assault on Montrose’s East Links.
A male was treated at Ninewells Hospital in Thursday night following the incident, which took place near a Travellers’ encampment on open ground.
The full extent of the man’s injuries is not known.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been charged in connection with an assault at East Links, Montrose, and a report will be submitted to the procurator Fiscal.”
It is thought the older teenager will appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday.
