Emergency services were alerted shortly after 8pm after receiving 999 calls. Police from Arbroath persuaded her to come down. She was then taken to Stracathro Hospital. The coastguards were alerted and at 9.30pm the Arbroath lifeboat was called out in the incident which lasted for two hours.
