MasterChef winner Jamie Scott will be making a special appearance at Dundee’s WestFest.
It’s not all about the music at this year’s Big Sunday event, which has become known for offering quality food from local artisans.
This year it is adding a sprinkle of stardom in the shape of Professional Masterchef winner Jamie Scott.
Jamie, who is head chef at Rocca restaurant in St Andrews, is teaming up with Steffie Arnold of Arnold’s catering on their stand at this year’s festival.
Jamie said: “We will be offering barbecue goodies such as pulled pork, ribs and salmon and I’m delighted to be guest chef for Steffie, whose catering business is building a great reputation.”
WestFest chairwoman Paola McClure added: “We are really pleased to welcome Jamie and Steffie and they will be a fabulous addition to our other excellent producers like fellow Arbroathian Iain Spink, of the famous Smokies, Puddledub Buffalo Barbecue and the Crepe Shack.”
There will also be charity and arts and crafts stalls, as well as a collectors’ fair by Carnaby’s Market.
Children’s activities, such as storytelling, face painting, bouncy castles and grass sledging, will also be on offer, and there will be a fire engine to climb aboard.
Dundee WestFest’s Big Sunday is at Magdalen Green from 1 to 7pm on June 7.
