Carnoustie sex assault still being investigated six weeks on

Police say the “particularly distressing” sexual assault of a 13-year-old Angus girl is still under investigation.
Tayside Division of Police Scotland has made a renewed appeal for witnesses to come forward, six weeks after the attack in Carnoustie on April 12.
The incident happened in the area of Dundee Street on a Sunday night and police are keen to trace a man in his twenties.
The male police would like to interview is described as white, of slim build, and he was wearing a dark-coloured, long-sleeved top and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
He may have been under the influence of alcohol.
Police said: “Inquiries are ongoing into the assault and anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information should contact Police Scotland on 101.”
