The plan includes provision for drainage, car parking, landscaping, boundary fencing and future provision of changing rooms containers. The site at Shanwell Road measures 2.8 hectares and is currently used for agriculture. Two 100m by 60m pitches would be orientated across the site from north to south. Access would be from David Moyes Road, which would lead to a hardstanding area providing up to 42 car parking spaces. The plan goes before Angus development standards committee councillors on Tuesday and has been recommended for conditional approval. Planning chiefs say the proposal complies with relevant council development plan policies.
