A 66-year-old woman who was seriously injured in an Angus road crash earlier this month has died in hospital several days later.
Police Scotland confirmed that Rose Ann Moir, from Montrose, passed away on Friday – five days after being involved in a road traffic collision on the A92 Arbroath to Montrose road.
Mrs Moir had been rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after the crash between a car and a lorry near Lunan Bay at around 2.10pm on Monday, June 8.
A police spokesperson said: “Mrs Moir’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that she will be greatly missed.
“They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
“Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.”
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
