One motorist has been taken to hospital with “non life-threatening injuries” sustained in a two-vehicle crash on the A90.
Ambulance and fire crews were called to the incident at around 2.15pm on the southbound carriageway, involving asilver Peugeot 508 and grey Citroen C4.
One lane was closed north of Laurencekirk junction by police and diversions put in place.
The driver is being treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We have launched crews from Laurencekirk, Bervie and Stonehaven.
“One casualty has been taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”
