Star performer Katelyn in training for national tour

Angus dancer Katelyn Bedford has been selected for a prestigious training performance programme with YDance, Scotland’s national dance organisation for children and young people.
The Bowriefauld teenager is training with top choreographers to create four new contemporary dance works before performing across Scotland in the 2015 Project Y tour.
Katelyn is one of just 22 exceptional young dancers from across Scotland selected to work with YDance artistic director Anna Kenrick and guest choreographers Yael Flexer, Jrg Koch, Errol White and Davina Givan
Anna Kenrick said: “All 22 dancers selected will be expected to work hard, adapt to the different working styles of the choreographers, learn and perfect choreography quickly and be able to perform to a high standard night after night during the 2015 Project Y tour.
The tour opens at Tramway, Glasgow on July 29 before visiting the Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock; Lemon Tree, Aberdeen and the Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling.
