A flood warning has been issued for parts of Brechin following heavy rain.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) say river levels on the River South Esk have been steadily rising throughout Friday morning as a result of the torrential rain which has hit much of the east coast.
Officials say gardens in River Street may be at risk of flooding and flood water may become evident at River Street as the river rises.
SEPA have urged residents to remain vigilant and take actions which help protect themselves and their property.
