Forfar fun day in aid of Blake McMillan Trust fundraising
ByThe Courier Reporter
A family fun day will take place in Forfar next month to raise funds for a brave Tayside youngster.
Blake McMillan, from Longforgan, was born with one of the rarest genetic diseases in the world, MeCP2 Duplication Syndrome, which severely affects motor skills.
The latest effort to raise money to support his needs and boost research into the condition will be made by the Blake McMillan Trust at the Lochside Leisure Centre in Forfar on Sunday.
The family fun day will run between 1 and 4.30pm with attractions including a treasure hunt, a bouncy castle, face painting and beat the goalie, together with a range of stalls.
Organiser Denise Black said: “I worked with Jenny, Blake’s mum a number of years ago.
“She is such an amazing person. She fundraises so much for Blake and I like to do a little to help.
“I have so far walked on fire and ice and completed Tough Mudder with my husband and friends for Blake.”
