Arbroath-based Voigt Partnership has won a competition to design a garden room at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The firm has now been invited to turn their designs into a reality by NHS Tayside, Ninewells Community Garden and Forestry Commission Scotland.
A spokesman for Voigt Partnership said: “The proposal is innovative, exciting, fully realistic and buildable; and will sit comfortably in the garden space it occupies, creating a strong connection between building and garden.
“The new room could be a fantastic addition to the excellent existing community garden.
“We look forward to working closely with our local design team and client so this exciting proposal using natural Scottish timber can be fully realised and complement the unique setting of the fantastic community garden at Ninewells.”
The main aims of the brief were to create a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment for gardening activities.
