A man required medical treatment after his yacht struck rocks just off the coast of Arbroath. Crews from the local RNLI lifeboat station rushed to the stricken vessel after receiving a distress call at around 8am on Friday. The man was taken to Arbroath Harbour where an ambulance was waiting to give him medical treatment. He suffered injuries to his head and arm and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Another crew member stayed at sea with the yacht, called Hush Hush, later bringing it to shore at around 11.30am.
