Police appealed for witnesses in connection with an alleged attack in Arbroath.

A man has been arrested by police in connection with a sexual assault in Angus last weekend.

Tayside Division of Police Scotland have confirmed they are holding a 25-year-old male following an appeal for witnesses into the alleged assault in Arbroath on Sunday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Bobby Dow, who led the investigation, said: “I would like to thank the public and local community for their assistance throughout this investigation.”
