Arbroath came alive to the sound of the blues at the weekend as 37 acts turned up the volume in the town.
With more bands than ever taking part this year, revellers enjoyed 64 free gigs in 19 venues at the Bell Rock Blues Festival.
From solo acts to six-piece bands, blues aficionados from across the country flocked to Arbroath for the festival, now in its ninth year.
Acts included Al Hughes, the Declaration Band, George Shovlin and the Radars, Sandy Tweeddale, and the Robin Robertson Band.
The festival drew hundreds of people to the town on the back of a successful Sea Fest the weekend before.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants and fans for their support throughout the year and for making the 2015 festival one to remember.
“The range of bands was well received, the supporters were so enthusiastic and the atmosphere was electric what more can we ask for?”
