A Forfar man has denied carrying out an attempted knifepoint robbery on a town newsagent’s shop.
Kenneth Campbell’s case will call again at Forfar Sheriff Court later this month after he appeared on indictment in relation to the alleged offence in February.
Campbell, 45, of Green Street, denies entering Ali’s Newsagents on Castle Street on February 21 with his face masked and assaulting a man there by presenting a knife at him, pressing it against his stomach, repeatedly demanding money, struggling with the man, seizing him by the body and punching him on the head, all to his injury and with intent to rob him.
