All creatures great and small Arbroath lifeboat men save a seagull in distress

Two RNLI members from Arbroath Lifeboat Station came to the rescue of a seagull that was walking around looking poorly outside the station.

Two of the team kitted out for an award ceremony spotted a large fishing hook stuck in its mouth and with some quick action they removed the hook and bid farewell to the bird.

One of the men, Jay Jones, when asked if he had ever done this sort of thing before replied: “Yes, a long time ago I rescued a pigeon from a flat in the High Street in Arbroath.”
