Police investigate after woman is approached by stranger in car near Glamis Castle

Angus police have launched an appeal for the public’s help after a female walker was approached by a man in a car near Glamis Castle.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Wednesday on the A928 between Roundyhill and Glamis, near the Angus landmark.
A man approached the woman and asked if she would like a lift. She declined and the car is believed to have left in the direction of Glamis
The vehicle has been described as a silver five-door car and may not have had a rear registration plate.
Kirriemuir Police Sergeant Sarah Brow said: “At this time there is nothing to suggest that anything untoward has happened or was intended, however we would like to trace the man who was driving this car to establish the full circumstances.
“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything or you have any information that could help, please contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
