Balaclava wearing thieves snatch woman’s handbag in Montrose

Police in Montrose are hunting two masked men who assaulted and robbed two women at the weekend.
The incident happened just after midnight on Sunday (April 5) in Mill Lane, near to Meridian Street. A 56-year-old woman had her bag stolen by the men, who then tried to steal her 55-year-old friend’s handbag, before fleeing the area. The suspects are between 5 feet ten inches and six feet tall and wore dark clothing and dark balaclavas. Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
