Elderly couple escape serious injury in dramatic A90 crash

An elderly man was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a spectacular accident in Angus today.

The silver Vauxhall overturned and ended up on its roof just after 2.20pm on the A90 near the Forfar turn-off at Lochlands.

An elderly couple were inside the vehicle and it is understood the man suffered a nasty cut but is expected to be okay.

Firefighters arrived to make the vehicle safe while paramedics attended to the couple.

Part of the road was blocked for a time until the wreckage was removed.
