Excitement is building towards a memorial concert to remember promising young Arbroath musician Ross Ramsay.
The 30-year-old was found dead in Glasgow after going missing from his home in the Maryhill area of the city, where he had secured a job with the National Theatre of Scotland.
The concert on April 18 at the Webster Theatre in Arbroath will involve many of his musician friends who were keen to lend their support to the event being organised by his mother Sandra.
She said putting the night together has helped her cope with the loss of her son and proceeds will be split between the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and the Artmoves group, which assists people with learning disabilities.
Richard Allan is the musical director and the show is being produced by James Hutcheson.
Performers include Alan and Val Mowatt, Michael Brandie, Scott Burrell, Rebecca Connelly, Ian Ramsay, Nic Ancott, Cheryl Brown, the Young Appolinari Dancers, James Hutcheson, Ross’s father Jim Ramsay, Violet and Sandy Thomson, Made of Mannequins, Artmoves and Limelight.
A few tickets remain on sale at the Webster Theatre.
