Angus sex offender facing lifelong restriction order
ByThe Courier Reporter
An Angus man who lured a teenage girl back to his home and had sex with her is facing a lifelong restriction order.
Darren Mitchell committed the crime just weeks after being released from jail for a similar offence.
Mitchell admitted breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, aimed to restrict his ability to meet and exploit vulnerable young women, at Forfar Sheriff Court in April 2013.
His case was referred to the High Court for sentencing.
Lord Pentland will decide whether impose a lifelong restriction order at a hearing in the High Court in Dumbarton on November 28.
