ByMartin Dalziel
The Angus coastline was scoured at the weekend for missing man Alan Kelly.
Both Arbroath lifeboats were launched in the search for the 47-year-old who has not been seen for almost a week.
All-weather lifeboat RNLB Inchcape and inshore D-class lifeboat Robert Fergusson were launched on Friday just before 6pm, but were stood down after approximately two hours of searching close to the shoreline in difficult conditions.
Both lifeboats launched again on Saturday at 9.30am to resume a search along the shoreline.
Following a further two hours of detailed searching close to shore, the volunteer RNLI crew were stood down and returned to station.
Mr Kelly is from Bellevue Gardens, Arbroath, and is described as being 5ft 9in, stocky, with short, dark brown hair which is beginning to go grey.
He is known to regularly wear a woolly hat and a black jacket with double pockets, and jeans.
He uses glasses but does not always wear them. Anyone with any information regarding Mr Kelly’s disappearance should call police on 101.
