ByThe Courier Reporter
The man who was at the centre of a search and rescue effort in Arbroath this afternoon has been found safe and well.
Arbroath inshore and all-weather lifeboats were launched and the RNLI crews are being assisted by coastguard teams from Angus and Fife in the operation, which was sparked just before 3pm.
A search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth was also scrambled as concerns for the man grew.
The man was found on the cliff top by police at around 4.15pm.
