Broughty Ferry pub manager jailed for catalogue of offences

A pub manager from Montrose, sacked after his criminal offending came to light, has been jailed for seven months.
Alistair Peacock’s catalogue of cases included an attempt to headbutt a police sergeant in Montrose, slapping his own mother and three times breaching a community payback order.
Peacock, 32, had earlier been warned by Sheriff Gregor Murray at Forfar of the chance of imprisonment and yesterday he was told that there was no option but custody.
Peacock, Glenclova Terrace, had been working as a night shift manager at Jolly’s Bar in Broughty Ferry, but defence solicitor Nick Markowski told the court he had since lost that job in light of publicity surrounding the case.
The solicitor told the court Peacock had been abusing legal highs at the time and in one of the incidents was described as being “as high as a kite”.
