Former Dundee star Rab Douglas had to defend himself from a gang of Airdrie fans who invaded the pitch at Forfar. Police are now hunting the fans who apparently raced towards the 42-year-old and attempted to wrestle him to the floor at Station Park. Airdrie now face an SFA rap over the incident, after officers held talks with match officials and the ex-international keeper. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “The Forfar goalkeeper and two match day stewards were involved in an alleged assault at Station Park yesterday. “Enquiries are ongoing.”
