A post was put on the website on Wednesday which stated: “Further disturbance in Monifieth with a complaint from a Monifieth resident of things being thrown at their windows again tonight.”
Poster Richard Drummond said there had also been similar incidents in Kirriemuir in recent weeks.
One Monifieth resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “In our area, North Union Street, we have people either entering our garden, knocking on or throwing things at our living room window, then running away.
“It doesn’t happen often, but often enough for it to become extremely infuriating.” A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland can confirm we attended at Upper Victoria in Carnoustie after reports of youths throwing eggs.
“There was no trace of the youths on police arrival.”
Monifieth Conservative councillor Craig Fotheringham described the behaviour as “unacceptable”.
