A memorial service will be held on Friday for an Angus dad tragically killed in a Thailand road accident.
Montrose man David Wyllie, 36, died earlier this month in the country which he had made his home after moving there more than five years ago with his partner and son.
The former Montrose Academy pupil, who began his career in the oil industry 16 years ago was described by his mother, Trish Winton as someone who was “popular, loved and lived life to the full.”
“His passion was motorbikes, fast cars and football and he was a loving family man,” she said.
“We are all devastated by his untimely death.”
The accident happened on February 3 in the area of Ban Chang, a small town around two hours’ travel from Bangkok.
A traditional Thai ceremony and cremation was held for Mr Wylie last week and he will be remembered in a memorial service at St Margaret’s RC church in Montrose at 2pm tomorrow (fri).
Mr Wyllie is survived by his mother Trish, sister Gemma and step-dad Andy, partner Kai and son William as well as daughter Catalina and son Lennon from a previous marriage.
