Police RNLI and coastguard services search for missing angler Fraser Carrington along the Aberdeenshire coastline.
The search for a missing Fife angler swept out to sea in the Mearns has continued.
Volunteers remained to scour the rocky coastline at Tangle Ha after night fisherman Fraser Carrington was overwhelmed by a tall wave.
Police Scotland reveaeled the identity of the 32-year-old, who was last seen in the seafront on Saturday.
And fears have been expressed over the safety of the area’s sea anglers following the incident at 3am on Sunday.
Based at the fishing village north of St Cyrus, Coastguard teams and police spent the day searching for the man, whom locals believe to be from the west coast, exhausting a “vast” search area between St Cyrus and Johnshaven.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: “There are a number of volunteers who are still out but there is no formal searching today.
“We are still making enquiries and if there is news then we will go back out to look.”
A spokesman for Aberdeen Coastguard said: “There is no further information coming through and we have no plans to send a boat back out today, but we will if requested to by police.”
