Elderly driver taken to hospital after crashing into parked car in Montrose

An elderly driver required ambulance attention today after her car was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle.
The woman, described by police as being around 80 years old, was treated at the scene in Mount Road, Montrose, after her silver Citroen C3 hit a parked car around 11.50am.
Her vehicle ended up on its roof but she escaped with minor injuries.
The fire service was contacted by police at 11.51am but the woman had already been freed from her car.
She was taken by ambulance to Montrose Infirmary.
Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said the woman sustained a cut to her hand and a sore back.
No one else was involved in the incident.
