Two young Angus boys have been detained after a small “suspicious” fire at a supermarket in Brechin. Two fire appliances attended when two storage containers caught fire in a Co-Op shop. A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland, Tayside Division, attended a report of a fire at the Co-Operative store, Cookston Road, Brechin, at 11am. “Two 12-year-old boys have been detained in relation to the incident and inquiries into the matter are continuing.” The scene of the fire was judged safe at 11.50am. No one was injured in the fire and no extensive property damage was reported.
