A van driver was dealt with by police today following a road incident that left an 87-year-old woman with leg injuries.
Ponderlaw Street in Arbroath was closed for 30 minutes after the woman was hit by a van around 10.15am.
Police Scotland officers issued a 47-year-old man with a conditional offer of a fixed penalty.
A spokeswoman said: “An 87-year-old woman sustained leg injuries as a result of the collision involving a white Vauxhall van.
“She was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.”
It is understood that a member of the public called the emergency services after finding the injured woman.
The medical practice was the scene of another accident earlier in the year, when an elderly woman suffered a minor head injury after being hit by a car leaving the practice.
