New zig-zag lines are to be put in place to deter parents from parking outside a rural Angus primary.
Councillors have approved the restriction for almost 40 yards around the entrance to Eassie school on the Glamis to Newtyle road after concerns drivers were causing visibility and access problems by parking there when dropping off or collecting youngsters.
The same infrastructure services committee also approved the removal of the school keep clear area on Church Street in Edzell eight years after the new village primary school was opened. The old school site has been developed for housing.
Zig-zags will also be removed from outside Strathmore Primary on St James Road, Forfar, as a result of changes associated with the development of the nearby Asda store and a new set of traffic lights at the junction with New Road.
