Firefighters fought for an hour to control a blaze at an industrial recycling centre in Angus today.
Two appliances rushed to the scene at Petterden at around 12.20pm after reports that an industrial wood chipper had caught fire.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two jet reels and two breathing apparatuses were deployed after the call came in at 12.20pm.
“The fire was under control at 1.12pm.”
More than 600 skips are taken daily to Petterden Transfer Station and Recycling Centre, which is operated by DJ Laing.
