A young Angus girl has spent a busy spell raising money for Cancer Research as a personal thank you for the work of those who are helping her gran battle the disease.
Katie McGill produced a range of popular Loom Bands for school friends at Carnoustie High and also sold them around her neighbourhood.
Last weekend she also led a team in the 5k Race for Life at Dundee’s Camperdown Park, with 12-year-old Katie completing the race in 38 minutes.
Her fundraising has been inspired by her gran, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for lung cancer.
At a presentation in Carnoustie High School, Katie, her sister Laura and friends Holly Ross and Sophie Prendiville presented the £250 fruits of their fundraising effort to Shona Duncan of the Cancer Research shop in Broughty Ferry.
