Adam Stewart, 25, of Easterbank, admitted carrying out the assault in Glenogil Terrace, Forfar, on May 15. Depute fiscal Jim Eodonable told Forfar Sheriff Court an argument developed between two groups of friends. “The assault resulted in a trip to the hospital,” he said. Defence agent Nick Markowski said: “It was a Friday night and the complainer and his pals are under-age drinking. “Stewart and his friends are also under the influence of alcohol and there seems to be a confrontation between the two groups.” Sheriff Gregor Murray deferred sentence until February 4 for background reports.
