Clyde brings Commonwealth Games spirit to Angus schools
ByRichard Watt
Commonwealth Games 2014 mascot Clyde visited a number of schools in Angus as part of a drive to increase local interest in the Glasgow games.
Angus Provost Helen Oswald met the mascot at Burnside Primary School in Carnoustie, celebrating the school’s sporting success. Clyde made a presentation to the P7 boys relay team, after their win in the Angus primary relays.
Clyde then went to Woodlands Primary in the town, where pupils have been learning about Clyde during sports week and drawing portraits of him for his visit. Seaview Primary School in Monifieth also received the mascot during its sports day.
