Conservation charity the National Trust for Scotland has appointed a new general manager to oversee Angus’s most outstanding heritage.
Dundee man Iain Hawkins will be caring for some of Scotland’s favourite historic buildings including the House of Dun, JM Barrie’s birthplace and Barry Mill.
Although his new role brings Iain responsibility for 12 iconic properties in Aberdeenshire and Angus, the challenges of caring for well-loved visitor attractions are nothing new to him.
In his previous role with Merlin Entertainments, he was central to the renaissance of Blackpool.
Iain headed up the highly successful refresh and refurbishment of eight attractions including Madame Tussauds and the famous Blackpool Tower.
