Carnoustie man ready for round two of fight against factors Ross and Liddell

An Angus man faces a second court battle in two years over disputed factoring costs at his home.
In July last year, Carnoustie resident Gregor Ross was taken to court for refusing to pay property maintenance fees.
Mr Ross, who said he never agreed to pay for factoring when he bought his home, took a “gamble” and defended himself in court and won.
The taxi driver has received another demand for fees from Ross and Liddell, the company working on behalf of the property development where he lives.
“It is the same situation again but during the first case, the sheriff said they could not take further action against me on the same issue,” Gregor said.
“I never signed a contract agreeing to pay for factoring when I bought the house and I haven’t signed one since.”
A spokesman said: “The majority of residents voted overwhelmingly in favour of Ross and Liddell to continue to manage the development and we have a mandate signed on behalf of all owners.”
