A female motorist has died after a single-vehicle collision in the Mearns on Monday morning.
Emergency services raced to the Laurencekirk to Fettercairn road after reports a car had left the road at 9.15am.
Police Scotland’s Grampian Division confirmed officer attendance on the B9120 at the Bogmill Bridge.
One fire engine from the town attended the incident.
Meanwhile, two vehicles were involved in a collision on the A935 Brechin to Montrose Road near Kincraig Farm on Monday morning.
Police were called to the scene at 8.10am, and found a blue Honda Civic and grey Peugeot 3008 on the road. Traffic management was put in place and no one was injured.
