A Scots Guardsman demanded the police attend when he created a boozy scene at an Angus petrol station.
Kevin Gibb shouted and swore at a female store attendant at the Shell garage in Forfar on February 19.
The 22-year-old appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court and admitted causing a breach of the peace on Queenswell Road, in that he repeatedly shouted, swore, kicked the door, uttered threats and placed the attendant in a state of fear and alarm.
Depute fiscal Joanne Smith said: “The locus is the Shell garage in Forfar.
“The accused had been drinking during the day of February the 18th.”
She continued: “At 3.45am on February 19th the night worker was aware he had attended at the night hatch.”
The employee attempted to try to calm the man.
However, the accused would not calm down and shouted “get the police”.
“He leaned into the glass and said ‘do my pupils look big?’”
He said: “If the police don’t turn up in 10 minutes, I’m gonna kick the door in and rob the shop.”
The accused then walked to the front door of the shop, which closes at night for the security of staff, and kicked it.
Police attended at 4.39am, at which time the accused was seen shouting and swearing in the forecourt.
Ms Smith added: “He could barely tell officers his home address.”
Gibb, of Queen Margaret’s Gait, Forfar, was represented by defence agent Bob Bruce.
Mr Bruce said: “He’s in the Scots Guards. He drank too much.”
Sheriff Gregor Murray deferred sentence on Gibb for the preparation of criminal justice social work reports.
The sheriff said: “For behaviour of that nature to continue for an hour is outrageous.”
