Angus should shout more about the “world-class” landscape of the glens and the facilities associated with it.
That was the plea made from the convener of the Cairngorms National Park Authority to Angus councillors in the first major presentation to elected members on the park since its formation a decade ago.
The national park stretches into Angus and includes areas such as Glen Doll which were highlighted by Duncan Bryden as an international draw and something the area should be proud of.
Councillors were given a brief outline of the park and the aims behind its operation, including conservation.
Although the Angus segment comprises only 7% of the Cairngorms park, Mr Bryden said the value of stunning locations such as Corrie Fee in Glen Doll should not be underestimated.
