Police recover £4,500-worth of drugs from Brechin address

A suspected cannabis cultivation was recovered from a property in Brechin.
Police swooped on the address on Montrose Street as part of Operation Slade which is targeting drug-related crime.
Cannabis with an estimated value of around £4,500 was found along with equipment used to grow the plants on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that class B controlled drugs with an estimated illicit value of around £4,500 were recovered from an address in Montrose Street, Brechin.
“A report on the circumstances will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.
“Police Scotland is committed to taking illegal drugs out of communities and anyone with information regarding suspicious activity in their area is urged to contact 101.
“Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
